I thought it would be really cool and validating to know the future. I was partly right but mostly wrong. Here’s my story. Stage Eleven is the perfect time to hone your Intuitive skills because at that point you have a keen understanding of matter, energy and consciousness. You can, in fact, know your potential future. You can know other people’s potential futures too. Precognition, as it is called, is an intuitive skill that we all have and can develop. Laura Day is just one wonderful resource for developing precognition among many other intuitive skills in this stage. I love to improve my intuitive skills and precognition is, for me, the most fun. In addition to your own precognition, you might get a glimpse of the future from an oracle Reader (like Tarot cards but more future oriented). Mediums can also channel messages from your guides about your future. That makes for a lot of good information sources all telling you about your future. If these sources all agree, that can be a powerful cross check that brings certainty to your path.
So the big question is: is that a good idea for you? In my own experience, it is a mixed bag. Some aspects of future knowledge are extraordinarily useful, while others cause more harm than good. For example, it is very useful to know the future if you can use it to keep yourself safe and healthy. Using future knowledge to protect yourself is very useful indeed. Future knowledge can also validate your purpose and ensure you that you are on track. Several sources have validated my mission of global peace through individual peace for all humanity, and the fact that we are on track to actually make it happen. Future knowledge allowed me to be in the right place at the right time to meet the right people to make it all happen, and ensured me I am doing the right things to create ultimate success (global peace).
But sometimes knowing your future can be less than useful. For example, several different sources agreed that this Winter I will take a two month period of time to rest, rejuvenate and focus on energy work, and that the end result will be mastery – mastery of consciousness, mastery of energy, and the ability to seemingly disappear for a moment, creating a phenomenon that draws attention to my cause.
What the actual f*ck. I’m sorry. That’s not fair. Is global peace not enough? This is a kind of pressure and expectation that makes it impossible to drop into the kind of energy work that would make it all possible. I would have been happier to stumble upon this future with excitement rather than have to stress out about trying to achieve it. Damn!
You see, knowing the future yields expectation and expectation is a heinous form of attachment. And you will be hard pressed to forward your enlightenment while stressed out. Stress and expectation pull you back to Stage Three (I am my needs), and then you have to work your way back to the beautiful later stages to even think about doing this kind of focused study and practice. And this is the worst case scenario – an expected impossible sounding end product without any guidance on how I am supposed to make it happen. Exactly what practice or study should I focus on for two months to get such a magnanimous result? There are as many possible exercises focused on energy and consciousness as there are stars in the sky. So here I am, spending day after day trying desperately to find the exercises, studies and practices that I think might be right for this Winter focus. I am not much closer to narrowing it down. The list just gets longer and I get more mired in the universe’s expectation.
What am I supposed to do now? The only path to mastering energy and consciousness is in becoming the one consciousness for extended periods of time (rather than the short bursts that are my current personal best). That requires zero expectation, zero attachment, zero stress. I have to let go of the expectations of the entire universe (literally). In order to achieve it, I have to stop trying to achieve it. I have to push it away and follow pure intuition on a journey fueled by curiosity, the joy of exploration and discovery and not care if I ever get there. I have to say, “F*ck. That. Sh*t.,” to the very universe that commanded it so that I can approach it purely and without expectation.
It’s like my consciousness is a child of the One Consciousness. I must break away, in order to return with a new relationship. This kind of irony is standard across the universe. To become the one consciousness, I have to break away from it for a short time and rejoin it anew. Well, I guess I just found part of the path. So for now, global peace will have to be good enough. At least THAT is something I can clearly see how to achieve. Other achievements will have to come as they come, naturally. Meanwhile, I will not be peaking into the future except to protect myself, or to inspire my students and clients. And I am thankful for that skill.
If you could know the future, would you want to? Or would knowing take all the fun and discovery out of it? If you knew the future, how would you keep the sense of fun and surprise? How could you balance these aspects for the most benefit?
