Another dream, another lesson. In this dream, I was shown how specific people whom I would never peg as spiritual, were experiencing a spiritual journey that fully realized and presented upon their passing. The lesson was that they were each having spiritual experiences, regardless of the fact that they didn’t recognize it or put any credence on it during their lives. Their human consciousness may have dismissed it all, but their divine consciousness took in and benefited from the experiences of every moment.
What if we cannot help but learn our lessons and carry out our mission? What if, even in a state of denial of all things spiritual or profound, we find that we learned, grew, and gave gifts anyway?
We have this idea within the spiritual community that you have to wake up, take the journey, get to a place where you are conscious of your mission or gifts and consciously pursue them. But suppose that you woke up and then went back to sleep? I see it all the time. The journey is hard. Maybe you see how hard it would be and you don’t want that experience.
What if some choose to undertake the journey at the sub-conscious and god consciousness level without the human consciousness being involved at all? Hmmmm. What if the expansion of your soul – the journey through the stages – is something that the higher self must experience with or without your human awareness? What if the only real choice is to experience the journey consciously or to be oblivious and get the big reveal at the end?
For those who choose to undertake the journey of expansion fully awake, there are rewards like the ability to consciously operate some of those nifty powers of the subconscious or god consciousness. But the trade off is that it is lonely in the later stages. There are few who understand you. For those who choose to remain oblivious and let the journey unfold behind the scenes, you get to have larger friend circles and to stay in that wrong relationship and that miserable career path forever quite happily; always having something to complain about and commiserate about. The trade off is that you may see another round of incarnation to finish off the lessons that didn’t quite sink in.
Who knows which path is best. Each has its pros and cons. Maybe that aspect of our incarnation is also written and agreed to ahead of time. The point is this: Everyone you meet is having a spiritual journey of growth, learning, and giving of gifts, wether or not they are aware of it, or choosing to pilot it themselves. This perspective helps me to see that not one day on this earth for anyone – awake or asleep – is wasted. So let us not lament the days before we awakened, beautiful souls – we were on the journey all along, and so is everyone else.
