To Let Something Go, You First Must Love It

,

I have been very focused on researching consciousness and, related to that, manifestation. The big epiphany that hit me recently is that you do not have to hate something or denigrate it to let it go, and you don’t have to be dissatisfied to decide to change. Let me explain. Suppose you want a new job. Maybe you would like opportunity for more hours or better pay. The typical human thing to do is to start demonizing your boss, and finding all the reasons why you now hate this current job. Why do we do that? Because we feel guilty for leaving. We demonize the old job and the old boss so we don’t feel bad about ourselves. But you don’t have to hate your old job to still choose a better one. You can decide that the old job is great, and now you want even more awesomeness in a new job. Suppose you are selling your house and moving. Maybe you are moving because you are creating a better life situation for yourself. You don’t have to think badly of the old house. And you don’t have to feel dissatisfied with your current way of life. You can love the old house and love the old life and still be ready to move on. It’s equivalent to saying, “this is great! And the next thing will be even more amazing!” Sometimes your situation actually does suck. But as you improve your life, you reach a point where life is pretty damn good; great even. It is important to revel in your awesome life, home, stuff, etc and give it the love and appreciation it deserves. In fact, if you want to move from great to amazing, you will have to see your current home, job, stuff, etc go to someone else. If you put off the vibe that these things are terrible and you don’t want them, all you will attract are people who feel the same and don’t want them. But if you put out the vibe that these things are wonderful, you love them, and they have brought you so much satisfaction, then you will attract people who feel the same way and want that house, that stuff or that job. You can be satisfied and grateful for where you are, and still be ready for something else. This seems counterintuitive. If you are satisfied and love this house and these things and this job, why would you change it?! There can simply be a feeling that it is time for something different, like an opportunity that you cannot pass up or a chance to grow and become more. Pain does not always have to be the root of action. In fact, when pain, dissatisfaction, or other negativity is the root of your action, the result will multiply these feelings, right? So make sure the root of your choice to change parts of your life is love, peace, joy, opportunity, and other positive things. You can love something and still be ready to let it go. Because real love is not attachment. Real love is appreciation and awe and gratitude. So have real love for that old job, that old house, that old stuff and love for the people who will be thrilled to have them, and bring them together with the joy of one who consciously creates a life that moves from great to awesome to amazing to divine.
