Hey Young One

,

I was on the treadmill one day at the gym, listening to some new songs from a local band. They were a very young group of young men singing about unrequited love and various things that very young men think are important. I found myself feeling really really cynical, lambasting their young naivety. Then I thought… what a terrible thing to think! Naivety is the most beautiful thing about youth. Unscarred from the slings and arrows of life, they are so clueless but in a way I am jealous of that more pure state.
