Blurred

Digital. 2011-2013. In this piece, I was playing with transparent lines to make it look like a blurred image of something else that you just can’t quite bring into focus. I find this piece simultaneously frustrating to look at (wishing it would become clear) and exciting in it’s effect. So much of life is knowing that reality is right in front of you, but not quite being able to get a clear picture of it. The uncertainty is a bit exciting, leaving the door open for better realities but the lack of a clear picture of reality is unsettling.
