I was thinking about this phrase – to die for love – and I realized that when we fall in love, we do, in a sense, die. Our old self is shed as our new love brings out in us parts of ourselves that we may have forgotten (for better or worse). Finding true love can be even more so like crossing over from a dark place into heaven itself. This song is an exploration of this metaphor.<\/p>\n
