Rueben has had enough port to be convinced, and I quote, that \u201cyou can start a fire in any condition with a blow torch!\u201d He\u2019s working over some torrentially soaked wood with a propane torch and I am killing the last of the bottle.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On an average day, I allow myself exactly one ounce of port or rum. So it does not take much to get me sloshed. I am on glass number 3\u2026 or maybe 4. It\u2019s all good. WHY?<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Alcohol loosens the grip of social and societal rules and calls forth our personal truth. Are you an asshole? An exhibitionist? Tired of your boss? Sick of your career? Unhappy in your relationship? It\u2019s all about to come out. Admitting to your truth, bit it counter to or beyond societal norms and even beyond your own rules can be an important step forward.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>There are those who recommend acid trips or magic mushrooms to forward enlightenment. I have not yet had the experience so I cannot attest; but for those who are not yet ready to take a more psychedelic approach, there is good old fashioned alcohol.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>P,S. &#8211; a public service announcement &#8211; don\u2019t be stupid. Do not drink and drive and do not let alcohol put you in a bad situation.
