[2007. Acrylic and sand on canvas] I ADORE Salvador Dali’s work. He was a major influence on me as a teenager and even to this day. Some of my first pieces were studies of his work. In this one, I redid Big Thumb and Dead Bird in sand tones with painted sand for texture. I love how it turned out!
