[2015. Acrylic and Polymer on Canvas.] I made this piece to study the natural state of my mind on any given day. Some areas of order, coffee ring stained intellectual inquiry and fun, all threatened by a tidal wave of obsessive distraction… or is it, as Rueben pointed out to me, a tidal wave of order and intellectual pursuit threatening to undo my obsessive distraction? Now I am not sure. But this piece stresses me out. I have so well captured the frustrations of living in my mind that I causes me a bit of stress to even look at it.
