This summer has continued the pattern of time off and yet massive progress, but this time it was even more extreme. We were both taken out of the game for a third of the month with a very nasty virus. But after we recovered, our work on Geode took off in a BIG way with THREE new apps completed (a private coin exchange, illegal activity reporting and the new referral program) and THREE new partnerships with other cool projects that also empower the individual. We have never in the history of this project accomplished so much in such a short time. We are launching our referral program and starting to bring on our first million users! Meanwhile, I am working on some new art pieces! I finished a new crown design for my 49th birthday (I know, I don’t need to wait for my birthday, but that makes it special), and I am working on a new painting with a unique canvas structure. I finally bought a tarot deck after years of searching for just the right one and I am having fun playing with the deck for my own benefit and using it just a bit in individual sessions when guides call me to do so.
Maxwell and Nala (my puppies) are handling the Florida heat as well as Frenchies can with lots of time indoors and shorter walks at cooler times of day. July and August in this part of Florida are HOT and the sun is intense. It is our winter – everyone settles down for inside activities and personal projects while they wait for the good weather to come and festival season to start in October. October through May have the most blissful weather so it is well worth the wait.
Every location has its downside. But the heat is not so bad. The worst part might be the absolutely massive and Jurassic looking Eastern Lubber Grasshoppers which can spray toxic acid from their hip joints. You cannot make this up. They are a danger to the dogs (along with Cane Toads) and we are always on the lookout for them in the yard. This is one reason they say that Florida is Australia-Light. Instead of everything trying to kill you, everything is trying to kill your dog. I would say that is accurate. But not all the creatures here are dangerous. Some days we take the kayak out to the barrier islands and see Manatee and dolphins. There are so many places to enjoy the water that we still have dozens of beaches and rivers to explore!
