Ever since the conjunction on December 21st, things have gotten weird. I have noticed that the life-death-life cycle near me has become more extreme. More life and more death. More beauty and more horror. The need to see the whole of the cycle as it is presented to us is key. Within this is simultaneously a realization of the perfection of everything and a deep joy, if we can die, in the metaphorical sense, to the natural cycles of existence and release what does not serve. It is a perfect year ending thought. What of your thoughts, habits and beliefs are not serving your soul, your betterment or your purpose? What will you let die so that it can be remade new? Endings are not always endings. Endings are beginnings. What relationships, human and metaphorical, what habits and ideas need to be made new in your life? What will you release to replace and what will you release to remake? These are the questions I will be pondering as the calendar year transitions. May you have the courage to let go of what is ready to go and to sing new life into that which comes to you to be reborn.
