The roller coaster of emotional phases that come while mixing, mastering and delivering a new album always seem to catch me off guard.
- OK, just do it…. make it happen (trepidation)
- I’m making it happen! (resolute and motivated)
- Hey, I’m getting a lot better at this! I rock! (elation)
- Geez, this takes a long time (boredom)
- Man, everyone else’s stuff is so cool and mine is so boring (dejected)
- A new day….this one is so freaking great! (ego bias)
- What’s the point? Nobody is going to listen anyway… it’s going to disappear into the abyss (pre-release depression)
- Maybe one day it will help someone somewhere, and I hope they tell me (altruistic resignation)
- Hey, I’ve got ___ albums out! Go me! (pride)
- Collapse in exhaustion
