I sat down to write this diary and had a hard time verbalizing the last month’s happenings largely because they felt so natural; like an obvious extension of all that has gone before. I feel like there are 10,000 things happening and that each month is more eventful than the last. As I say that, I am talking about the world at large as much as about my own particular life. You know all the worldwide happenings so I won’t go into that. There is an acceleration in my professional life with opportunities arriving from all sides, much to track, and plenty to do. Simultaneously, I do not feel rushed or overwhelmed at all. There is a natural flow to it all. I take days off. Frankly, I take more time off than I have in the last two years. Yet things are being achieved at a faster rate. Action is natural and I flow to the most important tasks without stress or worry. Maybe I have finally achieved the flow state and meditation-in-action state I have been working towards for years. Big things are happening but nothing feels like a big deal in the sense that seeing something as a big deal is typically accompanied by anxiousness or a sense of stress. I just feel joy at what I observe within my own life and experiences. And that seems really odd to me in a time when the world is spiraling into levels of economic, political and financial chaos yet unseen in my lifetime. I am not immune to it. My cost of living is as out of control as everyone else’s, and I have the same vulnerabilities to world events as my neighbors. Somehow though, the chaos feels external and oddly natural – like the natural turning over of cycles for humanity and nations and peoples. It is not to be interfered with, but to be witnessed and allowed so that the next better and more peaceful thing can take its place. Meanwhile, I will be here flowing in relaxed joy to not just because it is – for me – a wonderful state to be in, but because it provides the balancing antithesis for the wider happenings. Both things are always true simultaneously: tragedy and joy, fear and love, stress and ease. We get to choose where along these spectrums we will reside.
Peace and Light,
Guru Kathryn
