Lots going on in the world, but my biggest challenge is a little jet lag from the daylight savings shift. I am grateful. Within this framework of life, everyone gets to be exactly as they are, choosing exactly what they are choosing. Having the experiences we choose to have. We can resist it with our minds, bodies, energy, time and money. But resistance is a form of attachment to the way you think someone should be, or the choices you think someone should be making. Only when we release this resistance to the current state of things can we then make choices of our own. We can choose to not be affected by their choice. We can choose to take action. Or we can choose to walk away from the entire situation. There is no end of options, but none of them are available to you until you let go of the need to control someone else’s choices and start controlling your own.
So here is your homework today: whose choices are you focused on? Can you recenter on your own choices and thereby sit in your own power?
