Foley, AL has been a ton of fun. It’s right in the middle of Fairhope, Gulf Shores, Pensacola, and Mobile. And 15 minutes from a little place called Alligator Alley, a gator sanctuary for gators that would otherwise be put down as a nuisance. You may not think of gators as needing sanctuary. But all creatures do. Me included. After filming far too much yoga, I had strained my pec minor and various associated muscles. Some body work and sanctuary was called for. I landed, thanks to some divine intervention, at the most unassuming spa, right down the road from the RV park, with the perfect therapist for the issue. JD was knowledgeable, and well versed in cupping, swedish massage, hot stone, and fascia work, all of which he brought to bear on my injury. He single-handedly solved 90% of the issue. Yay! I used to receive massage and energy work monthly, before the tour started. But since we left, Virginia, this is the first body work I have had of any kind. We all need to receive care of different kinds on a regular basis. Light workers and humanitarians in particular. If you spend your days giving, at some point you need to receive. Receiving care through body work, energy work, or any other form, is necessary for balance, but not always easy to find, and not always as high a priority as it should be. After the treatment, we spent the afternoon at the gator sanctuary, communing with some of my favorite animals. So the question is this… among your needs is surely the need to receive care. What kind of care give the best return for YOU? What kind of sanctuary do YOU need?
