The other night, Rueben was otherwise occupied and I took a little me time. I had intended to use it to write several new guided mediations. I had delusions of perfect productivity. Instead, I laughed at old pictures with my youngest son for about an hour and a half. I ate half a pint of forbidden ice cream. Then I got lost in a YouTube lecture by Paul Selig, and a little bit of Abraham-Hicks. I had a nice long meditation with my dog on my lap. Then I poisoned myself with headlines and health data. Looks like I am still human. Most of this was a good idea. But the headlines were a pointless waste of time and the ice cream was regrettable. Oh, well. Tomorrow is another day. I sat down here tonight thinking I would salvage a guided meditation script, but I am too tired and I don’t want to write crap. What I learned tonight was that I need to surrender to the divine light inside me. Yeah, we all know that. But really. Your divine soul does not ask for things. It knows what it needs and receives it before you could ever realize that you need it. You don’t need to think up what to ask for. You just need to let go and not fear the light overtaking you. This was the focus of my mediation tonight. There was immense energy movement, so I believe it was effective. That is progress enough.
