After weeks of painting and staging, one wrist injury and nearly a month off weightlifting, our house is finally on the market! Kind of. Our next step will be to go full monty with MLS listings, open houses, and all the fun.
The psychology of selling your house is incredibly powerful. The uncertainty, the stress of any minute someone might want to see it, the public judgement, and the way it seems to put your life on hold, are getting to me. Rueben suggested I escape to the coffee shop and work there instead. So here I am, at one of my favorite places, a locally owned coffee shop. Breve Latte by my side, earphones in playing meditation music… this IS better.
The problem with working from a home you are trying to sell, is that you feel like it’s already someone else’s house. I feel like I should have moved on long before now. But I am trying to balance my timing to best suit Rueben, and my son, who still has to finish his last year of High School.
There is a kind of boredom that has set in. I am bored with my environment, and with my way of doing things. I am ready for a radical shift in lifestyle, routine and process. I don’t know exactly what that should look like, but I will let the divine work that part out. I ask for a radical positive shift in my lifestyle, routine and process and for creativity to flow deep and wide once again.
